Is it necessary to create an account to make a purchase?

We would recommend you to create an account, as it allows us to serve you better. But it's not mandatory. If you are in a rush, you may checkout as a guest.

How can I update my account details?

Once you log in, click on the 'My Account' tab on the top bar. You can then click on the 'View Details' button to update your details.

I cannot remember my password. How can I log in to my account?

Click on the 'Forgot Password' link and enter your registered email ID. You will then receive an email from us with a 'Password Reset' button.

How can I place my order?

Once you have selected the gift that you want to buy, add them to 'Cart'. Next, go to your Cart and click on the 'Checkout' button. When you update all the requisite details, click on the 'Order' tab.

How will I know if my order is confirmed?

Once you have placed an order successfully, you will receive a confirmation email from us on your registered email ID, featuring all your order details.

What should I do if I don't receive a confirmation email?

In the rare event of you not receiving a confirmation email, please check your Spam folder. If we have missed sending you an order confirmation email, please write to our Support Team at [email protected] with your order and payment details. We will be happy to assist you.

How many tea can I order in a single transaction?

Since each of our tea is unique, it is up to you to shop for one, two, or a number of them. There's no upper limit on your orders.

How can I track my order?

An order can be tracked using the Waybill number which will be assigned to every consignment.

Where can I view my past orders?

Once you log in to your account, click on the 'My Account' tab to view details of your past orders.

Do you offer express delivery?

Since each order goes through a stringent pre-courier process to ensure that you enjoy a perfect gifting experience, we are unable to offer express delivery currently. However, we are working on the same and should be able to offer express delivery in the near future.

What are the various payment options available?

We currently offer online payment options via credit and debit card. We are working towards introducing more payment options for an enhanced shopping experience.

When will the payments be charged to my card?

You need to make the payment at the time of placing the order. We would be able to confirm your order only after the payment has been completed successfully.

How can I check my payment status?

After you enter your credit or debit card details and the payment is completed successfully, you will usually receive a prompt message from the card-issuing institution. Additionally, it will reflect online under your account and order details with us.

Why have I received a message saying that my payment has been declined?

We regret the inconvenience. However, please note that the right to decline a payment is with your card-issuing authority. Please contact them for further details.

How can I claim refund for a cancelled order?

Once you cancel an order, our system will reverse your payment to the card that was used to place the order. Please note that it takes approximately 5 to 8 working days for the amount to reflect in your account.

How do you pack your tea to retain maximum flavour?

We follow utmost care and use the best of storage and packaging materials at every stage of the tea crafting process. This ensures that your cup of tea at home or office tastes exactly the way it would when enjoyed at a tea estate.

How are your tea procured and how does it impact freshness?

All our tea are procured only from the best of tea gardens across Darjeeling and Assam. They are selected by our highly experienced tea tasters and sourced throughout the year to ensure fresh tea experiences around the year.

Do you add any artificial flavouring or synthetic substances to your tea?

All our tea and tea blends feature only natural ingredients for a superior tea experience. We do not add any artificial flavouring or synthetic substances to our tea.

What is the right way to brew a tea to perfection?

Each tea has its unique character and needs to be brewed differently for maximum flavour. Please refer to the mentioned brewing instructions for each tea individually. 

Do your tea come with a Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) license?

Yes. All our tea are licensed by FSSAI and the same is featured on the physical packaging.

How should I store the tea for lasting freshness?

Please store our tea in airtight containers for them to retain lasting freshness.

Do you ship internationally? If yes, how much does it cost?

We regret to inform you that we do not offer international shipping currently. However, we look forward to making this available in the future to those with a discerning taste, across the globe.

How long does it take to ship the products?

It will be dispatched within 1-2 days of receiving the order.

How can I change my delivery address?

Click on "My Account" and then "View Details" to edit your shipping address details.

What should I do if I miss a delivery?

Our logistics partner will get in touch with you. They will attempt delivering it twice.

How long will it take for my order to be delivered?

It should take approximately 1-7 days depending on the city.

How do I find out if you deliver in my area?

Please enter your pincode on the product page to check the same.

What's your general cancellation policy?

You can cancel the product before it has been dispatched to your address. A product cannot be cancelled, if it is already in transit.

How long would it take for the refund to reflect in my account?

The refund process depends on the payment option. Also, as per the bank procedures, net banking transactions are refunded in 3-4 working days, whereas credit and debit card transactions are refunded in 7-8 working days.

I don't like the teaware I ordered. Can I return it?

Yes, it is possible. Please let us know the reason for the return.

How can I make a purchase using an e-Gift Card?

Once you have added your preferred gift to the Cart, enter the e-Gift Card number on the 'Checkout' page.

How many e-Gift Cards can I use to make a purchase?

You can use only one e-Gift Card per order.

Does the e-Gift Card come with an expiry date?

Yes, all e-Gift Cards are valid for a specific period of time. Please refer to the detailed description on your card to know the exact validity.

Can an e-Gift Card purchased from the site be redeemed at Taj Mahal Tea House, Mumbai, or the other way around?

We currently do not offer this feature. An e-Gift Card can only be redeemed online at www.tajmahalteahouse.com

How can I unsubscribe to the newsletters?

We are sorry to hear that you wish to opt out of our newsletter service. Please click on the 'Unsubscribe' link in any of the newsletters you have received from us to stop receiving our regular updates.

Are my personal details, including my email ID, safe with you?

Absolutely. Your privacy is our priority and we would never share your details with a third-party. Additionally, our system is built to secure your personal and payment details against any kind of malware.

Do I have to pay anything extra for gift wrapping?

The gifting experience is at the core of our brand philosophy. Therefore, when you shop for a gift with us, we are happy to wrap it and also add a note on your behalf, at no additional cost.

Can I create a customised gift pack by selecting different products?

We do not offer this feature currently. However, you can personalise your gift by adding a special note (at no additional cost).
